One-day courses are a valuable way for old students to strengthen their practice.

Only those who have completed a 10-day course with S.N. Goenka or one of his assistant teachers can be accepted on a one-day course.

The timetable is as follows:

8.30a.m. ------------ Arrive/Registration

8.45a.m. ------------ Orientation talk

9a.m.      ------------ Anapana instructions

10a.m.    ------------ Group Sitting

11a.m.    ------------ Vipassana instructions

12p.m.    ------------ Lunch and rest (Interviews with teacher at 12.30 if teacher present)

1p.m.      ------------ Meditation

2.30p.m. ------------ Group Sitting & Metta

3.30p.m. -----------   Discourse & Final Metta

4.15p.m. -----------  Course end

What to bring? 

If the course is not at a centre, please bring the following:

  • Your own cushions and meditation shawl.
  • Your own vegetarian lunch. Please do not bring eggs or meat.

About Privacy


How we process your personal data

  • The personal data that you provide in this online application form will be processed by the CALM Foundation (registered in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, with Chamber of Commerce number 69501440). CALM is responsible for the development, maintenance and safety of the registration software that you are using.
    The purpose of processing your data is to provide you with a place on the course you applied for. We also need the information for internal organisational purposes and to comply with some legal requirements.
    We gather information related to your personal identity, such as your name, address and date of birth. We also enquire about your physical and mental fitness to attend a course and, if applicable, about your course history and current meditation practice.
  • We ask all students to complete a paper registration form when they arrive at the course site. These paper forms are stored separately.
One of the purposes for which your data may be used is to send you a newsletter. If you accept, there will be an option for you to unsubscribe in the future.

Your personal data will not be stored longer than necessary nor shared with third parties.

Your rights concerning your data

The information you provide on this form will be treated confidentially unless disclosure is required by law. Some of the information will be processed on computer. By completing and signing this form, you give your consent to the storage and use of this information by the course organizers as described in the Privacy Policy applicable where the course for which you are applying is being held, a copy of which may be obtained from the course registrar or at the course site upon your arrival.
You have a right to withdraw your consent at any time prior to the course or to have your file erased at any point prior to the course . This could however mean that we are not able to process the application. Without the essential information we cannot offer you a course since we will not be able to take organisational measures and assess your request to attend the course.
